Oh man, Klara, I'm sorry. I wish she could get some clean time under her belt, while she's out of the nursing home, on her own. Life.on HER terms and how it can feel to have her own life.. I had daddy issues. My dad left when I was 6, and then I saw him twice more in his life, so it made me need a man, need the attention and flatteru just like you're saying. I'm scared for my 2 daughters. Their dad was great, but he died when they were 5 and 9, so I try and try and try to preach their terrible genes for addiction. I'm hoping so much that your daughter hears something in a meeting, from a therapist, from a friend, or even her kids, that she needs and deserves her own life. It's also so much easier to have a healthy relationship fall into your lap when you're healthy and not looking. Relationships are so complicated, and probably equally hard to recovery, so she doesn't deserve to double her difficulty!
